Description
The buildings of the chapter are connected to the castle park by an alley which is closed by a door surmounted by a pediment. This chapter includes two structures: the housing dating from the 15th century and the chapel, which is a rectangular building with several flamboyant network windows and surmounted by a frame in a lambrped cradle. A small chapel of the 15th century, embellished in the 18th century in the same style as the apartments of the castle of this time, was backed by the southern facade of the stately chapel. The walls and the ceiling of this chapel are decorated with painted frescoes and paneling. It is believed that this chapel was built around 1480 on the initiative of the knight Jean Blosset, lord of Carrouges. In 1642, the lords of Carrouges added the small chapel located to the south, known as the Chapelle de la Chanoinerie.
