Description
The castle of Westhove was erected around 1903-1904 in a neo-Renaissance style. It is located near the AA river and is surrounded by a large park. It was used as a kommandantur by the German army until 1943, the date on which it became the property of the municipality. The castle and the park were then fitted out in a sports center, with sports fields in the park and changing rooms inside the castle. Access to the building was closed to the public in 2004. Today, grids prevent entry inside and the whole has been fully vandalized.
