The building, considered as a signaling tower, made it possible to monitor the Codalet valley, offering views of the castles or towers of Ria, Llobols, Pomers, Codalet, Coma and Molitg, as well as on other places. Its interest lies in its transformation into a church in the Romanesque time thanks to the addition of an apse built in stones. This apse could have replaced an older version, because the eccentric of the base seems to support this idea. The tower is erected on a fitted platform, surrounded by dump walls. The apse rests on a semi-circular base which connects, without visible rupture, to the walls of the nave. While the upper part of the apse is made of worked granite or gneiss, the nave is built with non -cut limestone or schist stones. A passage was pierced in the vault, at the rear, to access a upper floor which no longer exists today. The Romanesque style gateway is located in the south.
