Brouilla : Sainte-Marie Church

The design of the building seems to indicate that it has been built in two different phases. The internal foothills, which have taxes in return, are applied against the walls and are manufactured with a different material, without the triumphant arc, which does not present protruding, corresponding to them. There is no inner headband which connects the impostments along the walls, as this would interfere with the arcs of the Absidioles and the side windows. One has the impression that the walls, the apse and the absidioles date a little before the 12th century, because the vaulting on doubts was made later. The installation of the south portal, at the end of the 12th century, could represent a third and last phase of construction. The Romanesque style portal is in white marble. A torus is supported by two columns. The cornice and archivolts are decorated with moldings, and the eardrum is made of a monolithic lintel.
