Serralongue : Conjurador

The building is covered with a roof in hollow tiles, resting on a pyramidal vault in masonry. In each side, there is a semicircular bay, with a small niche above. The entrance is to the south, and the whole is oriented according to the cardinal directions. The walls are in masonry of granite gellons arranged irregularly, and have simple harps at the corners and bottom of the door. The berries and niches are surrounded by brick frames. At each corner of the roof, a protruding stone, cut in the shape of a circle, supports a flat iron rod erect vertically, the tip of which is rounded and elongated. According to tradition, statues of evangelists were placed in the niches. In the event of threatening time, the servant of the church put himself under the vault of the Conjurador, faced the weather, and invoked the saints with conjuring words. It is also reported that this vault was used during rogations to bless the crops.
