Description
This strong house is made of bricks and limestone, with a rectangular plan and two turrets at the corners. It is distinguished by its defensive characteristics upstairs, which are not visible from the outside, such as the entrance airlock and the guard rooms with gunboats. Access is only by an outdoor gateway. The upper part, damaged by a fire, was partially reduced with a modern roof. According to tradition, this fortified house was built or renovated by Charles de Goustimesnil, a feature captain who joined Henri IV in 1593.
