Description
The construction of the castle began around 1500 and ended in 1546 with the stately chapel. It was restored around 1668, which included the expansion of the park and the closing of the estate. Changes took place in the 18th century, such as the opening of the courtyard, the change in the entrance and the addition of a monumental staircase. In 1834, the estate was bought by Father Eude, who established an orphanage there (with a right wing raised in 1840, an abandoned park and the construction of a large chapel between 1861 and 1864). New constructions were made between 1865 and 1904, and they still serve the Saint-Joseph institution.
