Description
The estate was bought in 1869 by a Belgian industrialist named Parent, who began major work (ground floor, fence of the park, stables, basin). However, after his bankruptcy, he sold the domain to the mayor of Hyères, Edmond Magnier, in 1875. Although the construction and decoration of the castle were completed, the estate was then sold to Sister Candide, who had the architect Paul page built a luxury hotel, a sanatorium and a chapel in the heart of the castle. In 1922, the city of Paris acquired the hotel to establish a children's hospital, managed by public assistance.
