Description

A set of fortifications was decided by Napoleon I to improve the defense of the Mediterranean coasts. Construction started in 1810, but the majority of forts were erected between 1841 and 1861. The Bon Renaud battery was a rectangular building with its entrance to the Southwest, started in 1810 and completed in the 1840s.
