Description
According to tradition, this 17th century house, which has undergone many transformations, was inhabited by Richelieu when he was appointed bishop of Luçon. Inside, there is a painted fireplace dating from the 17th century. This fireplace, made of trompe-l'oeil to imitate marble or serpentine, is embellished by a painting showing a bronze canthar on a table covered with a tablecloth, surrounded by patterns and flanked by bouquets of natural flowers on each side.
