Description
The castle was set up between the 12th and 16th century. After having been the property of the La Trémoille family in the 15th century, it was transmitted in 1695 to the family of Dreux-Brézé. He was not damaged during the Revolution. During the second half of the 19th century, significant changes were made. The castle is located on an oval platform surrounded by a ditch, whose counterscarp contains underground passages and troglodyte homes. Remains of murals dating from the 15th century are still visible in the castral chapel, founded around 1200-1250.
