Description
The castle would have been built in 1180. In the 13th century, it belonged to the bishops of Poitiers, then in the middle of the 15th century, it was exchanged with Charles d'Anjou for other lands. The building is divided during the Revolution. It is located in a large park and has a main rectangular building with gables, flanked by square towers with round paths on each side. Rectangular windows have mullions and crosspieces. The interior was largely reshaped in the 19th century. Outside the castle, a barn could be a vestige of an old building.
