Description
According to tradition, King Jean Le Bon was imprisoned in the bass room of the entrance tower, just after the Battle of Poitiers in 1356. This building is an example of a fortified castle. It includes two 14th century entrance towers, accompanied by buildings that extend north with a square return, and to the southwest. Certain parts of the defensive system, such as runners and towers, have partially disappeared.
