Description
Built at the beginning of the 19th century by the mayor of Loudun to be a meeting place for hunting, La Guérinière has an entire thematic setting. Designed in one go, the property consists of a main building with chains and stone tables under the windows. The central pavilion has a bulge. Two side pavilions, with a lower roof, complete the building, integrated into a landscape of alleys for riders. Two ancillary buildings are located south of the home. The ground floor has a catering style setting, including a series of wallpapers. The painted decor of the entrance hall imitates marble and is embellished with pilasters. The dining room is decorated with panoramic paper illustrating "La Chasse à Compiègne", work of Carle Vernet.
