It is likely that this church was used as a parish. The only structures of the 12th century that survived are the bell tower and the two adjacent columns in tuffeau stone. For a mysterious reason, possibly because of a fire, the rest of the building, including the nave and the entrance gable, required reconstruction at the beginning of the 13th century. The rectangular apse was added in the 17th century.
