Chatain : Saint-Pierre Church

Built in the 12th century, the vault of the nave collapsed in 1735. It was rebuilt in 1755, but experienced deformations, requiring the strengthening of the foothills of the southern lateral wall as well as those of the gable wall of the southern transept. The building consists of a nave with four spans vaulted in cradle, a transept with two aromas vaulted in cradle, each equipped with two absidioles in oven ass, illuminated by a semicircular arc bay. The choir is vaulted in oven ass and the apse has three windows. The crossing of the transept is surmounted by a vault with eight sides resting on deceptions. The pillars of the transept crossroads are decorated with capitals in the shape of water leaves. The crossroads is wearing an octagonal bell tower, which has eight narrow windows, surmounted by a cord. The facade has three doors, decorated with simple archivolts decorated with denticles and billets.
