Description
The castle was built between 1470 and 1490, with work carried out after 1867. The main body of the 15th century building was protected to the west by three round towers, and to the east, by a round tower. The rectangular structure that houses the Gothic chapel is now integrated into a 19th century setting. Several additions, including a building connecting the main body to the northeast tower and a southwest wing, were made using a neo-Gothic style. At the same time, the interior of the billiard room was renovated. We also find stained glass windows from the 16th century recovered and others created by Baptiste Petit Girard in 1857 and 1858. The chapel has retained its original decor, illustrating scenes from the childhood of Christ, the last judgment, the story of the three dead and the three lively, as well as Christ in glory surrounded by the symbols of the four evangelists. The outbuildings and the garden also date from the 19th century.
