Description
Incorporating older vestiges such as medieval houses and the bishop's tower dating from the 13th century, the convent was founded at the end of the 17th century and experienced a long period of construction throughout the 18th century. It consists of a vast enclosure which shelters old vestiges arranged irregularly, partitioned buildings organized around a conventional cloister with promising elements in exposed bricks, as well as the chapel. The latter, located to the north and separated from the cloister by a courtyard and annex buildings, presents a very classic architecture with a single nave surrounded by shallow chapels. She also exhibits baroque traces, in particular by the ornamental richness of her altarpieces and her altars.
