Description
The old market square, which was then renamed Place Vielle then Place de la République, was once surrounded by arcades on two sides. In 1775, part of these structures was destroyed to facilitate access to the square. In the center was a well and a large cross, of which there is now no trace. The three arcades still visible and the facades they support create a picturesque panorama. These very low arches are based on large columns and support three levels of homes, some windows have kept their carpentry with small tiles and their wrought iron supports.
