Description
The old market square, which was then called Place Vielle then Place de la République, was once surrounded by arcades on two sides. In 1775, part of it was demolished to facilitate access to the place. In the center, there was a well and a monumental cross, of which there is no trace today. The three arcades still present, as well as the facades they support, form a picturesque whole. These very low arches are based on large pillars and support three floors of homes, some of which still keep their carpentry with small tiles and wrought iron supports.
