Description
In 1925, after the death of Clément Ader, from Muret and precursor of aviation, the city decided to create a commemorative space in its honor. In 1927, the architect-urban planner of Toulouse, Léon Jaussely, developed the plan of a public sculpture park centered on the theme of the conquest of the tunes. This park revolves around a monumental work created by the Parisian sculptor Paul Landowski between 1928 and 1930. Other steles were made by various Toulouse sculptors such as Manaut, Clerc, Gilbert Privat, Bedouce, Lasbugues and André Abbal. The park was finally inaugurated on September 21, 1930.
