Description
The old church was associated with the Cistercian abbey of Light-Dieu, located in Comminges, which was destroyed during the Revolution. It is a small rural church built in the 17th century on Romance foundations. The door is protected by a shelter at the foot of the bell tower, which has two openings for bells. Inside, the single nave is covered with a wooden ceiling with small boxes (1696) richly decorated with floral paintings. The choir is endowed with paneling (1714-1717) which were intended to accommodate canvases to decorate the altar. The interior decor and the furniture date from the first half of the 18th century.
