Description
The former Benedictine abbey of Saint-Sauveur, located south of the abbey church (which has been classified since 1851), was rebuilt in the 17th century by Richelieu. It consists of four buildings surrounding a cloister, all dating from the 17th century, as well as three other buildings added to the 19th century, forming a courtyard. Among these buildings, there is a chapel which has kept all its furniture from the 19th century. The old abbey hosts the Saint-Sauveur college. The chapel of the congregation (formerly the chapter room) and the cloister have been classified since March 22, 1930.
