Description
The portal is located within a park. It is the last vestige of a priory chapel which would have been erected in the 13th century and has retained its original location. This priory was founded between 1025 and 1040 by Duke Alain III and depended on the abbey of Saint-Gildas. According to legend, Abélard, exiled in Saint-Gildas, stayed there. The portal has a broken arch door whose external right side is connected to the south wall (which would be that of the Saint-Guen chapel). The raised soil leads to the outdoor bench. The keystone is decorated in a badge with a chevron and three cut elements.
