Tarerach : Saint-André Church

Since the 10th century, the church was under the authority of the Saint-Michel de Cuxa abbey. It is a small building with a single nave, which ends with a narrower choir, as vaulted in cradle as the nave, and a semi-circular apse inside. Externally, the building has a rectangular shape. The sanctuary, although half-circular inside, has a flat wall outside. To the north of the nave, there is a side chapel which is covered with a vault in transverse cradle. Among all the constructions, the only windows that have not been modified are those of the southern wall. That of the nave is decorated with sculptures. The columns bear capitals whose flat faces are carved with foliage in a relief framing. The semicircular arc is decorated with three small sausages and foliage. On each side of the uprights and at the level of the capitals, two symmetrical stones are decorated with rosettes, one having four petals and the other eight in the right -wing impost, while only one rosette is visible in the left impostor.
