Description
The house is located in the center of the village, along the main street. It was built by the Issaurat family, who was prosperous in Salernes. This bourgeois house was created as part of the purchase of two houses in 1684, and was enlarged in 1719 with the acquisition of a neighboring building. In 1685, Balthazard Issaurat entrusted Louis and Joseph Aurenges, Masons de Cotignac, house repairs for an agreed price. These works include various plaster works, such as the creation of a suspended staircase with balusters and the installation of several chimneys. Sold in 1796, the house was transformed into a dozen apartments, and this distribution has been almost unchanged since. In the 19th century, several cellars were adapted in large tiled tanks of Salernes, in relation to the wine trade of the owner of the time.
