Description
The clubhouse of the Golf du Domaine de Beauvallon was built in 1927 by the architect Pierre Chareau, in collaboration with Bernard Bijvoet. This is one of the first achievements of development initiated by the Emile and Edmond Bernheim brothers in 1925. This modest clubhouse, of around 300 square meters, also represents the first architectural work of Chareau, made of reinforced concrete and traditional masonry, with an ocher-rose finish. It includes changing rooms, a restaurant bar, a kitchen and a covered terrace. Although it is always used as a clubhouse, the building has been changed several times, and the original furniture designed by Chareau, such as armchairs, bar stools, chairs and tables, has been dispersed. In 1994, the building was renovated, while the adjacent building for Caddies was now unoccupied.
