Description
Located in the Beauvallon field, established in 1925, the Villa Seynave is a holiday home built in 1961 for Monsieur and Madame Seynave by the manufacturer Jean Prouvé and the architect Neil Hutchinson. Raised on a concrete slab, the villa is made of prefabricated elements: a structure of posts and beams surrounding "boxes" covered with reinforced concrete, with a pleated aluminum roof, panel facades covered with mahogany and, inside, mobile partitions of the accordion type ("Modernfold"). In excellent condition, this villa "in kit" illustrates the industrialized architecture of the manufacturer Jean Prouvé well.
