Description
The villa was commanded by the architect Pierre Chareau by Edmond Bernheim in 1925, with the help of his brother Emile, for the development of the Beauvallon estate. Edmond Bernheim was also the stepfather of Doctor Dalsace, who commanded the famous "glass house" in Paris (see the notice PA00088790). The villa was to serve as a holiday residence for three generations of the Bernheim family. The work began in 1928, but was interrupted, probably after the death of Edmond Bernheim in 1930. The building, built in reinforced concrete and in traditional masonry, was only completed after the Second World War by local architect André Barbier-Bouvet, and without the presence of Chareau, who died in the United States in 1950. Although the original carpentry was replaced by models Aluminum, the villa is currently in good conservation.
