Description
After the adoption of the Jules Ferry laws concerning education in 1881 and 1882, the Anatole France school was built according to the designs of the architects Charles Maurel and Edouard Angeli. The school is symmetrically arranged and includes several bodies of buildings and pavilions which house classrooms, administrative offices, as well as housing. The main building, located in the center, has a covered courtyard, flanked by two wings which contain the classrooms.
