Description
The castle was mentioned for the first time in 1489. It would have been destroyed by a fire in the 19th century, then rebuilt between 1850 and 1856 by the Majou family of the Rousselière, while retaining certain elements of an older structure. The main facade, oriented to the west, displays a neo-17th century style, with some neo-18th century influences. Inside, the castle includes lounges and dining rooms with paneling as well as a wooded wooden staircase. In the cage of this staircase, there is a stained glass window from the beginning of the 20th century, representing a naked woman preparing, which is one of the few pieces made in a civil context by the Parisian glassmaker Henri Carot.
