Description
This stately home was the home of the notaries of the Marquisate of Couhé-Vérac, then of the Royal Notaries. Its architecture, strongly influenced by local traditions (roof in flat tiles, cut stone walls), shows that it was built at the end of the Middle Ages and in the 17th century. A large rectangular building surrounds a courtyard protected by walls, while outbuildings are brought to these walls. East of this building, there is a 17th century portal in a lowered arch with a salient central key, flanked by pipéts decorated with sculptures evoking pilasters with capitals. The interior has preserved its original volumes, with toundthe and chimneys dating from the 15th and 17th centuries.
