Description
The origins of the chapel date back to the 13th century and are probably associated with the arrival of Carmes in Toulouse. In 1369, Pope Urban V entrusted the relics of Saint-Thomas of Aquin. In the 16th century, the chapel became the gathering place of a brotherhood dedicated to Saint-Roch. In 1784, this brotherhood undertook to restore and embellish the building, entrusted to the care of the engineer Raymond, and the work lasts until 1786. After the Revolution, the brotherhood was restored. In the 19th century, the chapel was ceded to private owners. Its nave, rectangular in shape and preceded by a vestibule, ends with a semi-circular apse. The western wall reshaves elements of the 13th century building, while vestiges of Roman construction are visible on the West and East walls.
