Description
This hotel, dating from the 15th century, was acquired in 1535 by Jehan de Cheverry, a pastel merchant who became Capitoul. Cheverry renovated the old house by adding two new sections. One of these sections has, on an old garden, with a walk covered with arches. Above, four two-level windows are surrounded by columns and pilasters, marking a return to ancient styles. Three small Doric style columns support the upper part which becomes the architrave. Between this part and the lintel, which turns into entablature, stand three fluted pilasters. The window in front of the entrance to the courtyard is decorated with three slightly highlighted caryatids. Above, the pilasters are decorated with arabesques.
