The appearance of the building, dating from the 19th century, actually masked the structure of a medieval building, which remained intact. This building is on the border between the abbey complex and the canonical district, and was already called attic in the 16th century. It is likely that the first floor served as a dormitory for young canons. This house is a witness to the monumental ensemble associated with the Saint-Sernin basilica.
