Description
The church was built according to a plan established in 1551 and consists of a single nave, a pentagonal bedside and side chapels. The difficulty of the terrain probably led to several collapses (the nave in 1646, the facade wall in 1771 and the bedside in 1812). In the 19th century, great restorations gave it its neo-Gothic style, carried out in three stages: a first campaign in 1840 which led to the vault of the building in 1850; A second around 1865-1870 which includes the painted decor of the choir, attributed to Bernard Benezet; And finally, a third campaign having concerned the construction of the bell tower, finalized by the architect Bréfeil in 1882.
